A retro turn-based RPG that asks the question - what happens to a game world after we ignore all those side quests?
Gameplay
An abandoned world is waiting
Welcome to Fanterra, your typical fantasy world. Legendary heroes defeated The Dark Lord but boy were they in a hurry. During their epic run through the campaign, not a single side quest was completed.
While many cheered his downfall, townsfolk, shopkeepers, and farmers were left waiting for news of lost loved ones, stolen relics, and failing crops. Some even whisper the Dark Lord has respawned.
With the heroes gone, perhaps it's time for ordinary adventurers to finish the job.
Fast turn-based combat
Combat in AfterQuest is fast, fluid, and responsive. Spells and attacks are beautifully animated but designed for quick execution, ensuring the action never slows down. With an ARPG-style interface, there are no menus to navigate—just smooth, instant actions.
Beneath the speed lies plenty of depth. A wide range of abilities, elemental interactions, status effects, gear, and consumables create endless strategic possibilities, letting you adapt, experiment, and master every battle.
Complete quests, earn rewards
Each quest has a unique story to tell. Find out what happened to the missing villager, or what those bandits used the stolen relics for when no one bothered to find them.
Quests play out like classic dungeon crawlers. Behind every tile could be an enemy encounter, a hidden treasure, or something entirely unexpected.
Cozy customization
In-between side quests, you can cozy up at your camp to learn more about your heroes, level up, equip new gear, and modify skills and various perks.
Combine ingredients found while questing to craft powerful consumables to help you on your next adventure.
Playable Heroes
Althea, the paladin. Her sense of duty is eclipsed only by her desire to prove her might.
Baylan, the mage. If only his confidence was as potent as his explosive potential.
Brohm, the warrior. His bold exterior and brash behavior hides a gentle heart.
More heroes are on the way…
At least two more character classes are in the works.
Enemies
AfterQuest features a large variety of unique enemies. Here are just a few:
Rabid Wolf
Skeleton Archer
Goblin Witch
Giant Spider
And of course, there are many epic boss battles:
Animated Pile of Bones
